Customer Help Centre

Once you've purchased your item, you should receive a confirmation email directly to your inbox. This confirmation email will have your order details and order number.

If your order hasn't arrived by the estimated delivery date, please allow an additional 1-2 days for delivery. For delays longer than this, please get in touch with our customer service team.

Contact us as soon as possible. We can only make changes before your order has been dispatched. If it’s already been shipped, we can request the courier to return it to us, then cancel and refund your order once it’s back.

Once your order has been dispatched, we'll email you a tracking link. Using your unique link, you'll be able to track your order directly through the carrier's website. If you haven't received tracking details yet, please allow 2 - 3 business days for your order to leave our warehouse.

If your tracking hasn’t updated, your order may still be processing. Orders can take 2 to 3 business days to dispatch, then when they leave our warehouse, tracking can take up to 24 hours to show movement.

Your order tracking won't be sent to you immediately after purchase. Please allow 2-3 days from placing your order to receive your tracking details.

We aim to deliver your order within 7–10 business days (excluding pre-orders), subject to stock availability.

For deliveries within Australia, we use a range of carriers including Australia Post, Toll Ipec, Couriers Please, Star Track, Sampson Express, or another trusted provider. All carriers require a signature on delivery. Please note that many carriers are now going paperless, which means you may not receive a “missed delivery” card. To stay updated, we recommend monitoring your tracking link directly on the carrier’s website.

For deliveries to New Zealand, we use Courier Post, Mainfreight, Fliway, or another reliable carrier, and a signature on delivery is also required.

If you need your order sooner, you’re welcome to contact our office on 1300 367 695 to confirm stock availability and discuss expedited options.

We currently only ship to addresses within Australia and New Zealand. If you're outside these regions, head to our stockist page to find international distributors who sell DARCHE products.

We use trusted carriers such as Australia Post, Toll, Couriers Please, Star Track, Sampson Express and others, depending on your location and the size of your order.

To help ensure your order arrives before Wednesday 24 December 2025, please place your order before the dates listed below.

These are our recommended cut-off dates based on carrier schedules during the busy Christmas period. While we’ll do everything we can to meet these timelines, please note they are estimates only and not guaranteed.

Unfortunately, roof top tents can only be delivered to freight depots for pickup or business addresses with a forklift on site. This is due to size and carrier restrictions.

There are 2 alternatives. We can deliver to a business address with a forklift on site (Contact our customer service team before ordering if you need to arrange this). Otherwise, roof top tents can be picked up from either our Thomastown (VIC) or Banyo (QLD) locations.

To ensure that your order is secure, all deliveries require a signature. If no one is home, the courier will leave instructions for re-delivery or depot collection. You can also contact us if you need to make a different delivery arrangement.

If your order hasn’t been dispatched, call us as soon as possible on 1300 367 695 and we’ll do our best to update it. Once it’s shipped, we can still contact the courier on your behalf to try to arrange an address change, but this isn’t always guaranteed and may cause delays.

We’ll send you an email once your order is ready for collection. Please wait for the confirmation email first, as your order may not be processed and ready otherwise.

You can pick up your order from either our Thomastown (VIC) or Banyo (QLD) showroom. Just select your preferred location at checkout

Pickup is available Monday to Friday between 9am and 2pm. We’ll send you an email confirming when your order is ready for pickup. Please wait for that before coming in.

Bring your order confirmation email and a valid photo ID. If someone else is collecting on your behalf, they’ll need to bring their own photo ID, plus a copy of your photo ID and the order confirmation.

You can submit a warranty claim via the warranty page on our website. Scroll down to the claim form and fill in your details. You’ll need to upload a photo of the issue, proof of purchase and a brief description of the problem. Our team will review your claim and get back to you as soon as possible.

Registering your product online makes it quicker and easier to process warranty claims if you ever need them. It also lets us keep you updated with any important product information. You can register your product online here.

All warranty claims need to go through the store where you purchased the product. Contact them directly and they’ll assist you under our warranty process.

Unfortunately, DARCHE warranties only apply to the original purchaser and require proof of purchase from an authorised retailer. Second-hand purchases aren't covered under our warranty.

It depends on the type of claim. Typically, it takes 3 - 4 days for our team to review and process a standard claim. However, if more information is required for a complex claim, we may need additional time.

If your item isn’t covered under warranty, our team will let you know why. We'll look for the next best resolution, no matter what. In many cases, we can still help by offering spare parts or reasonably priced repair options.

We're proud to offer 30-day returns on all items. To return an item, get in touch with our customer service team, and they'll organise a return for you. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, and it must include tracking. You can view our full returns and refund policy here.

Darche Roof Top Tents come in a range of sizes and weights to suit most vehicles and trailer setups, including passenger cars, trucks, vans, soft roaders and 4x4s. They are designed to mount easily to most quality aftermarket or OEM crossbars and roof racks.

The key factor is your vehicle’s roof load rating. This is the maximum weight allowed on the roof while driving (dynamic load). All Darche RTTs bolt to two crossbars, spaced to support at least half the base length (for example, a 1200 mm base needs racks at least 600 mm apart).

Check both your rack and vehicle roof ratings. If they differ, the lower number is your limit. Loads on the roof can affect braking and handling, so always take this into account.

As long as your rack system and vehicle meet the load requirements, a Darche RTT should fit without issue.

Darche offers a hard shell RTT called the Solar RTT, which comes with an integrated 148W solar panel. The regulator is not supplied.

Some other Darche hard shell RTT models can also take solar panels when additional roof racks are mounted to the tent. Product pages for each RTT list any compatible rack and solar options.

Soft shell RTTs are generally not suited to having panels mounted directly to them. However, their smaller packed size leaves more usable space on your vehicle’s roof for a separate solar panel, depending on your rack setup.

As long as you choose a compatible hard shell RTT or have the right rack configuration, fitting solar panels is possible.

Many Darche hard shell RTTs are designed to take additional roof racks mounted directly to the tent. These racks can carry extra gear or serve as a mounting point for items like solar panels.

Darche’s hard shell RTT roof racks are a cost-effective way to maximise carrying capacity and are model-specific, so check the product page for compatibility.

Soft shell RTTs do not have an additional roof rack option.

As long as you choose a compatible hard shell RTT, you can add racks for more gear and functionality.

The fitting kit and mounting brackets are included with all new Darche 180° and 270° awnings.

For freestanding awnings, the kit is packed in the same box as the awning. For older Generation 2 awning models, the fitting kit is supplied in a separate box at no extra cost. The kit includes bolts to mount the awning to the brackets, pegs and guy ropes, plus u-bolts and nuts for attaching the brackets to a ladder-style roof rack.

If you are fitting to a platform rack or another rack design, you may need to purchase alternative hardware to suit your system.

As long as you have a compatible rack setup, the included fitting kit has everything needed to mount your 180° or 270° awning.

Most Darche hard shell RTTs have brackets available that allow you to mount an awning directly to the tent. These brackets use the moulded channels in the RTT’s floor or base for secure attachment.

For soft shell RTTs, the best option is to mount the awning to your roof racks or platform first, and then position the RTT over the top of the awning brackets. The standard mounting hardware is usually short enough to fit under the RTT without any modifications.

As long as you choose the correct bracket setup for your RTT type, fitting an awning is straightforward.

Darche awnings are designed with transit bags that have been extensively water tested to protect the awning from the elements. In normal conditions they will keep water out effectively.

However, in extreme rainfall, water ingress is still possible. After heavy rain, it’s best to open the bag and check the awning for any moisture, then air it out until completely dry before packing away.

While the transit bag offers strong protection, treating it as highly water-resistant rather than completely waterproof will help you maintain your awning in top condition.

Some Darche awnings include built-in LED lighting, typically a dual-colour strip that offers both white and orange light. The white setting provides maximum brightness, while the orange setting helps reduce insect attraction. These lights run off a standard USB connection and come with a long cable for flexible power options.

For awnings without integrated lighting, you can add the Darche 1.2 m LED strip light. This accessory comes with a sleeve, clear strip, and hook-and-loop attachment points for easy fitting to rafter arms or other parts of the awning. It also features 6 mm and 8 mm sail track tabs and can be mounted using Darche Magic Magnets on flat canvas surfaces.

Darche awnings are designed to mount to most standard roof rack systems, which means they can often be adapted to fit camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes or other unique setups.

In many cases, the supplied mounting brackets may need to be modified or replaced to suit the specific structure you are attaching to. Darche does not supply custom brackets for these applications due to the wide range of possible configurations.

If you are fabricating a new bracket for a 180° or 270° awning, it must be strong enough to handle both the weight of the awning (up to 30 kg) and the leverage created by wind and rain. Brackets should be fixed to the awning within 600 mm of each end to ensure stability. There is no maximum spacing limit, as long as both ends are supported within that 600 mm guideline.

With the right bracket design and secure mounting, fitting a Darche awning to a camper trailer, caravan or motorhome is achievable.

Darche swags are weatherproof and designed to handle a wide range of conditions from new. They use high-quality canvas and construction methods to keep out rain and wind.

While seasoning (weathering) is not required before first use, doing so can help further seal the fabric and stitching. If you choose to season your swag, make sure it is fully set up with all poles and pegs in place, follow the instructions in the manual, and allow it to dry completely before packing away.

With proper care and correct setup, Darche swags will provide reliable weather protection in most Australian conditions.

No, Darche swags are ready to use from day one and do not require weathering or seasoning before their first trip.

However, seasoning will not harm the swag and can help further seal the canvas and stitching. If you choose to season it, ensure the swag is fully set up with all poles and pegs in place, follow the process in the instruction manual, and allow it to dry completely before packing away.

Whether seasoned or not, proper setup and care will ensure your Darche swag provides strong weather protection in a wide range of conditions.

Darche swag bags are generously sized to allow a moderate amount of bedding to be rolled up inside the swag. This makes setup at camp quicker and easier.

For best results, remove pillows before rolling to save space and prevent damage to the pillow or swag. The amount of bedding you can keep inside will depend on the size of the swag and how tightly it is rolled.

As long as you pack it neatly, most swags will fit back into their bag with bedding still inside.

Darche swag mattresses are 70 mm thick and made from high-density foam for excellent support and comfort. The quality of the foam helps ensure a good night’s sleep, offering both durability and cushioning for use in a variety of camping conditions.

This high-density construction also means the mattress retains its shape and comfort over time, even after repeated rolling and packing.

Darche swags include a printed instruction manual with setup and care guidelines.

If you misplace the manual or prefer a digital copy, you can download it from the Specifications section of the product’s page on the Darche website. Simply select your swag model, such as Dusk to Dawn or Dirty Dee, from the Touring Swags range and follow the link to the downloadable instructions.

Having the instructions on hand ensures you set up the swag correctly and maintain it in top condition for long-term use.

Swag mattresses are stored in a compression sleeve, and if they’ve been packed away for a long time, they may take a little longer to fully activate and expand. To help the process along, place your mattress out in the sun during the day (weather permitting). Exposure to sunlight speeds up expansion. We recommend allowing 12–24 hours in the sun before first use to ensure it reaches its full size and comfort.
