SAFARI TENT 260

The DARCHE Safari Tent 260 is a classic canvas touring tent built for campers who want genuine headroom, exceptional ventilation and a straightforward setup without the complexity of a multi-pole dome tent. Built from tough 260gsm ripstop polycotton canvas with a PU 2000mm water rating and a 320gsm PVC bucket floor, the Safari 260 is a roomy, weather-resistant canvas tent that sleeps 2 to 4 people comfortably and sets up in minutes with a single internal trigger-lock pole. It packs flat for easy loading, making it a practical choice for touring setups where roof space and storage are at a premium.

Single Trigger-Lock Pole Setup

Setup couldn't be simpler. Peg out the tent, insert the single internal trigger-lock centre pole to lift the ceiling frame and you are done. No threading poles through sleeves, no complicated guy rope configurations. Packdown is just as quick, and the tent stores flat in its included coated polyester oxford carry bag. A max head height of 2100mm means there is genuine standing room throughout the interior.

Exceptional Ventilation for Hot Weather Camping

The Safari 260 is designed with hot summer conditions in mind. Two large zippered side windows can be gusseted closed in wet weather and opened fully for maximum airflow in the heat. Low-level gusseted air vents on three sides provide constant passive airflow through the sleeping area, and the rear window storm flap includes eyelets and converts to a rear awning for excellent cross-ventilation. Fine insect mesh on all windows and doors keeps the mozzies out without blocking airflow.

Zip-On Front Awning Included

A large 2.5 x 2.8m zip-on awning is included with the Safari 260, complete with twist-lock awning poles, pegs and guy ropes, giving you a generous shaded outdoor living space directly off the front entry. For even greater coverage, the Safari wall kit (sold separately) can be added to further enclose and extend the awning area.

The tent body is built from 260gsm ripstop polycotton canvas, seam-sealed and rated to PU 2000mm waterhead for reliable wet weather protection in extended rainy conditions. Practical Interior Details

Internal gear pockets keep essentials organised inside the tent, and a pocketed zippered power cord inlet lets you run a cable from an external power source without leaving a door or window open overnight.
